Making it easier to navigate through images is one thing all browsers fail in. Suppose you find a directory full of images, what you will do is click the first image, go back, click the second image, go back and so on. This shows the lack of usability in every browser, can’t they make it easier to navigate between images? Thanks to Image Navigator, the experimental add-on for Firefox, browsing images is now a piece of cake.
Once the add-on has been installed you will find a toolbar on the top-right side. This toolbar will help you navigate between images and moving between folders easily.
Image Navigator for FireFox has been discontinued.
There are many services out there that let you shorten the URLs. Instead of sharing long URLs, you can share the shorter version. This comes really handy if you share links frequently on Twitter, FriendFeed, etc, but otherwise it can be quite a headache. With short URLs, you never know where the link might take you.
TinyURL Decoder is a GreaseMonkey script for Firefox that decodes the shortened URLs and shows the original URL instead. Don’t get confused by the name of the script, apart from decoding Tinyurl links it also decodes URLs from almost all other link shortner services. The complete list can be found on the developer’s script homepage.

Do you want to change the file extensions without changing the actual file format? This question sounds a bit confusing at first, but I will clear it up. Suppose you want to convert a .JPEG file to .JPG, this changes the file extension but does not change the file format, another example is when you want to convert .log to .txt. There are many other examples, but for the sake of convenience I have included only two. Now once you know what this all is about, let’s move ahead.
