It can be quite useful and helpful to know the size of a file before downloading it. Unfortunately, if you’re a Firefox fan and use the default download manager, you're out of luck, because Firefox itself does not display the file size when it pops up the ‘Open With’ dialog box. The only information displayed is the file name/type, and you get to choose where the file should go.
Show File Size
is a Firefox add-on that enriches the default Open With dialog box, displaying file size with customizable rounding options.
Consider yourself in a situation where you’re working with some document files, and suddenly you discover that you do not have the appropriate software to handle these file types. , QuickSys RegDefrag
, and Registry Life
, the first two tools are designed especially to make registry data contiguous while latter is an advanced tool for cleaning & optimizing registry. Today we have come across WinMend Registry Defrag –
an application which which claims to effectively rebuild the registry index in order to remove the unused fragments/voids. Since data defragmentation is carried out by making data contiguous, it re-organizes the Windows registry space to let installed applications fetch associated registry keys with more speed.
Editor's Note: It must be noted that registry defgramentation does not necessarily speed up your system by a huge margin. It does however speed up access to registry (but the effect is very minimal). You should only defrag your registry when your PC is clogged and only as a last resort.

is an opensource application which is built to speed up data copying process in Windows OS. On macro-level, its working is based on source & destination of data which is to be copied, i.e, two mechanisms are deployed to provide super fast data copying – if source & destination is on different HDDs, then reading and writing are processed respectively in parallel by separate threads. But if they are on the same HDDs, then reading is processed until the user-defined buffer size is filled. Once filled, data can be written anywhere immediately. According to the developer, it doesn’t use Windows cache for data reading/writing, so users wont be experiencing any lags.
