Sequenzetto: Affix Numerical Sequence To Folders & Files [Mac]

In the past, we’ve covered multiple apps that make it easy to rename files in bulk. Files are normally renamed on a given pattern or syntax that the app defines and where the user enters the variables. What most file renaming apps do is change the entire name of the file altogether. We recently recommended FreshBatch to replace a word or character in a file name with one of your choice. Sequenzetto is a Mac app that lets you add numbers to all files or folders, within a folder. It retains the original file name and simply adds numerical prefixes to each item. Read More

Retain Clipboard Items After System Reboot Using ClipboardZanager

The Windows Clipboard is one of the most used features of Windows. Everyone uses it on daily basis, multiple times a day. The Ctrl + C/ Ctrl + V commands are very useful for quickly copying and pasting text, URLs etc from the source location to the destination. However, the biggest limitation of the default Windows Clipboard is that it can only hold one entry at a time. It means that whenever you copy a piece of text, the old one automatically gets deleted from the memory of Windows. Previously, we have covered a lot of useful clipboard managers, including ClipX, a clipboard manager that allows you to copy a large number of text and image entries and Free Clipboard Manager, which lets you take & save screenshots and text in clipboard item library. However, almost all of them have one common issue; the clipboard memory is wiped as soon as you turn off the computer. Today, we have a clipboard manager named, ClipboardZanager that lets you easily manage Windows Clipboard and save multiple items in its memory at a time, including text snippets and images. What makes it different from other clipboard tools is that it has the ability to retain clippings even after you reboot the system, allowing you to easily recover and use the clipboard data. For a user defined interval, the app fills the entire screen with red, green, blue, white and black colors are off. Image Resizer/Scaler: Drag To Resize Images On Websites [Firefox]

Images available on the internet come in different sizes and resolutions and should the size of the image be too small, you have to zoom in a web page to get a better look. Image Resizer is a simple Firefox add-on that provides users the ability to resize or scale images on any website by simply dragging them. Voice Share For WP7: Record & Share Sound Clips To Earn Achievements

At times, the simplest of apps could prove to be really popular among users, as they provide just the right balance between fun and usefulness. Voice Share for Windows Phone 7 just might be one such app. The concept behind the app is nothing really new, but the developer has combined a lot of different features to create a pretty neat product. The app lets users record voice clips, and then share them with friends via SMS or on Facebook. This might sound a bit boring, as there are many other voice recorders available for Mango as well, but Voice Share has the edge over them in the sense that it lets you add graphical badges to your shares, and has an achievements system of its own, giving it a game-like feel as well. How To Share Windows 7 System Folders Across The Network

HotKey Resolution Changer: Change Monitor Resolution Using Hot Keys

Just as monitors are designed in various sizes, their display resolution also varies from size to size. Larger displays usually sport higher the resolution and vice versa. Although, LCDs are designed to work best at their native resolutions, sometime we do find the need to change resolution (especially if you still own old CRTs). Thankfully, Windows allows you to change the resolution of your screen from its display properties, but you have to open display settings and change resolution manually, and then save the changes to completely apply it. Some people can find it to be somewhat a tedious task. Previously, we reviewed an application called Display Changer that allowed you to change to the resolution of your own choice, rather than the ones pre-included in Windows, by specifying the desired parameters including width, height, depth, refresh rate, fixed output, rotate and positions including left, right, top and bottom. Today, we have another app at your disposal called HotKey Resolution Changer. It is a portable application for Windows that lets you change the resolution of your monitor through hotkeys. If you are a fan of anime’s, you must have seen or at least heard about the show ”Death Note” (and if you haven’t watched it yet, you must!) . Most players adding subtitles to any video just by dragging and dropping the SRT files over the player, but what will you do if you want to watch the video on a DVD player or a device which does not support reading SRT format? If you are looking for a solution to this problem, try Free Movie Subtitler. It is an application for Windows that allows you to permanently embed subtitles in videos. It means that you do not have to have, and run, separate files for video and its subtitles. Instead, the subtitle file will be merged with the video file and converted into one new file. Read on to find out more about Free Movie Subtitler. Read More
