Clicking individual feeds expands the content, and when an individual topic is clicked, the original website with the article opens in a new tab. Click Back to go to the list of all feeds.

RSS Reader Options let you manage feeds by giving you options to add New feed, New folder, Switch Theme and Export/Import. You can customize the layout of the pop-up by changing the theme. Also add folders, organize feeds and change their order by drag and drop.

Three themes are offered to users, Dark, Light and Mint. Select one according to your preferences, and it will instantly be applied to the pop-up.

Lock Tab, a Chrome extension, gives you the ability to lock pages as you browse the web. The extension prevents accidentally closing important tabs, when you’re browsing the web. This extension can be useful, if you want to make sure that you don’t close a tab accidentally; however, the extension has its limitations and might not work on Chromes new page, extension page and Gmail page, as it wont be able to inject the JavaScript code into these domains.

Google has just released Chrome 17 with several improvements and changes, including a preloading feature and improved protection against malicious downloads. The new preload autocomplete feature begins loading the page in the background as the user types a URL. Moreover, downloaded files are always scanned for malicious content against a whitelist of websites.

With the prefetch auto-complete feature, prerendering kicks in as soon you type a URL and the page is instantly displayed. Chrome 17 also scans .exe or .msi download files and compares them with a whitelist of websites. In case the file is not found in the list and is detected as malicious, the user receives a warning message. This whole process gives Chrome 17 users enhanced security while they browse the web. In addition to that, the new tab button no longer has a (+) sign on it – a minor cosmetic change, in our opinion.

Some days ago, we covered Conqu, a cross-platform application that helps you in scheduling, managing and syncing tasks. Today, we have a web app called Remindeo that provides you with almost the same functionality without having to download anything to your PC or mobile phone. The web app allows you to add reminders, access reminder calendar and planners and add simple notes and lists for safe keeping. Clicking the verification link allows you to add your first reminder with Remindeo. Other than the usual options of agenda, date and time of the reminder, it lets you select 5 more people for sending notifications of the reminder by entering their Names and Email addresses.

Once reminders are added, you can view and edit them in the Your Reminders menu. The added reminders are neatly displayed in a calendar, which has By month, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow and Next 7 Days views. You can also search for a reminder by entering its name in the top right corner.

Navegas is a slick online music player that can play YouTube, SoundCloud, Aupeo music, as well as music from your local system. You can instantly access tracks and songs from all these services, and create customized playlists, which can then be saved. All you need to do is log in with your Facebook account, after which you will be able to access music from all the various sources. When you select songs, they are added to the playlist and are played in the same order. Two buttons are displayed to the right hand-side of the playlist, these are Save Playlist and Open Playlist. Once you’ve created a playlist with songs from YouTube, SoundCloud, Aupeo and your PC, click Save Playlist and enjoy it the next time you login.

The video for the song is displayed at the center of the page. For now, you wont be able to change the size of the video player, but you can easily change and play/pause the songs from the controls displayed at the bottom of the playlist. Furthermore, the controls let you change the volume and fast forward a song. Users can also access their music on the local system by clicking the Local Music option in the left panel and selecting a folder. Clicking the YouTube button in the left panel opens YouTube in a new window. Other supported services include SoundCloud and Aupeo. When you click the Launch button, it will open the Files page, where you find file management and sharing options. You can either choose to create new documents or click Upload a File to upload OpenOffice documents. Other options in the menu include, Pinned Files, My Files, Shared With Me, Shared By Me, Public Files, Trash and Pinned Folders. It also allows you to create folders to organize the documents. Furthermore, you can sort files by, Name, Updated, Downloads, Comments and Recommendation tags.

IBM Docs provides Google Docs-like sharing options, letting you share a document publicly with anyone in a community and share it with only selected users. As mentioned earlier, IBM Docs comes with a feature that allows you to assign specific sections of documents to other users. You can share documents with a Person or Community, as a Reader or Editor; just select these options from the drop-down menus, and add an email ID or person’s name to share the document.

Each document you create comes with multiple options, such as Edit, Upload New Version, Share, Add to Folder and More Actions ( Stop following, Edit Properties, Add Comments , Download as PDF or Microsoft Office Format and more). As of this writing, IBM Docs is in beta testing phase.

During testing, we found numerous bugs. For instance, when we downloaded a document, all we got was an empty file with no text. Hopefully, all the known document exporting-related issues will be fixed in the next version.

simpLoupe is a Chrome extension that lets you zoom the content of any webpage to easily read smaller text. The extension can enhance the web readability for those users who can not read small size text, and often get headaches while reading text off the screen. Using Ctrl+Alt+L hotkey, you can bring up magnifier to easily read text and view tiny images.

Windows resizer is a Chrome extension that resizes the browser window in order to fit various resolutions, which can be easily customized. mkmenu, a Chrome extension, lets you quickly browse and navigate any website with a pie menu. This tool works as a context menu that provides quick access to search and navigation commands. Timeline Movie Maker allows you to create a gorgeous short movie from your Facebook photos and activity. To create a movie, simply click the Make Your Movie button. Firefox 10 is now available for download, with some major improvements and changes. The new version automatically hides the Forward button until you navigate back, and supports full-screen APIs for web apps and utilities that can use the entire display. Unofficial Google Image Search By Drawing is a web application that allows you to search Google Images by drawing shapes and anything else you like.
