Augen GenTouch Android Touch Tablet Specs And Price

The touch-tablet race is gathering some much anticipated momentum and now we have Augen Gentouch 78 geared with Android.

According to a Kmart circular this weekend, the Augen Android Tablet will be available at selected Kmart outlets.

The specs of this GenTouch Android Tablet are:

  • Android 2.1 Eclair OS
  • WVGA 800 x 480 Resistive Touch Screen
  • 256 MB RAM
  • Bluetooth
  • 2GB Internal Storage
  • SDHC Card Slot
  • Wi-Fi

The specs of this tablet are pretty mid-level but it has the potential to target geeks with thin pockets. According to Kmart, this tablet will be available for $ 149.99 after discount.

    Seems that the launch of this device is kinda failed.
    First the device was buggy. Well they are fixing it- one patch is out and another one is coming on 11th of August.
    Secondly they didnt really have much devices to begin with! Its already sold out and next shipment will be retail in the end of august!
