Apple has released the much awaited iPad iOS 3.2.1 for both, 3G and Wi-Fi Models of the iPad. This is primarily a bugfix update, addressing several problems in the original iOS 3.2 that the iPad shipped with, including video playback issues, Wi-Fi connectivity issues, Dock to VGA connector issues and more. The iPad has been one of the most successful computing devices of all time ever since its launch, and for good reason. Though despite all its fancy goodies, the version of iOS that the iPad originally shipped with i.e. iOS 3.2 had a few significant flaws that have caused major annoyance to many users, but that’s often expected with first releases of a product. With iOS 3.2.1, Apple is attempting to address these problems.
There are a number of enhancements bundled with this iOS 3.2.1 for iPad and some of them are:
- Freeze issue with video playback on iPad has been resolved.
- Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity for iPAd Wi-Fi models.
- iPad Dock to VGA Connector issue fixed
- Copy-and-paste issue in PDF documents fixed
- Bing has been added as a search engine in Safari
iOS 3.2.1 is available as a free update for all iPad users and applies to both Wi-Fi only and 3G models of the tablet.
Important note: In case you have jailbroken your iPad on iOS 3.2 using Spirit, then it is advised to stay away from this upgrade. The new firmware 3.2.1 actually closes the exploit utilized by Spirit to jailbreak iPad on OS 3.2.
