In case you were thinking that 800 Mhz or 1 GHz was a bit “laggy” for your Android phone then you have something to look forward too. Qualcomm has finally confirmed that they will be shipping the speedy 1.5 GHz Qualcomm QSD8672 Snapdragon processor in Quarter 4 this year.
From this announcement, it is very well speculated that we will have incredibly fast HTCs, Motorolas and Samsungs Android and Windows 7 phones early next year. This new Qualcomm 1.5 GHz 8672 Snapdragon is based on previous ARM designs and with a 45 nm processing technology. Integrating this chip in mobile phones will probably mean:
- 1080p Video Playback And Recording
- DDR2, DDR3 and HDMI Interface Support
