When we browse through our Facebook newsfeed, we come across a massive collection of all kinds of photos, uploaded by our friends and family. To see all these images we need a lot of time, and with all the effort, it is still possible that we might miss out on the ones that actually matter to us. This is where Pixable, a Chrome extension, comes in handy. This smart tool organizes photos in a gorgeous way and lets you see all of them in one slick pop-up. The extension is fully customizable, and after you’ve connected your Facebook account with Pixable, it instantly pulls photos from Facebook feed and creates a photo stream that you can view right in the pop-up. Additionally, Pixable ranks and sorts your friends’ photos based on popularity and your connections, giving you a more personal viewing experience. With it, you can flip through feeds like New Cover Photos, My Likes & Comments, Top of the Day, New Profile Pics, Most Recent Photos and others. The extension makes sure that you enjoy your friends’ photos by following them, and receive notifications when they upload or when they are tagged in photos.
To start off, click the button in the toolbar and a pop-up will appear with all your friend’s photos organized into feeds like Most Recent Photos, Top of the Day, My Likes and Comments, New Cover Photos, New Profile Pics and more. Each feed displays the total number of photos, and you can click a feed to view the photos in a neat layout. At the top of the pop-up, you will also find other categories like Friends, Everyone and Me.
When a photo is selected from a category, it is displayed in an iOS-like interface. At the top, you will find the total number of likes and comments. In addition to that, click the Back button to view the album and click a friend’s name to view all their albums. The forward/backward arrows allow you to navigate between photos found in an album.
You can click the arrow icon at the top right corner of the photo to access the Like on Facebook, Share on Facebook and Share on Twitter options.
Clicking the icon for the comments/likes lets you like or comment on the photo. Whenever you comment or like a photo on Pixable, the same is automatically replicated on Facebook; however, it is not possible to open an image directly on Facebook through this pop-up.
The best part is, you can follow friends by simply clicking the Follow button. With this feature, you will be able to view desktop notifications when they upload or are tagged in a photo.
The extension also shows you popular images from Flickr and Instagram. With Pixable, you can enjoy browsing photos in a visually appealing interface, without any clutter. We recommended all Chrome users to install this extension and give it a try!
