[Giveaway] Open Links Directly Within Any iPhone App Using BrowseInApp

The “Safari versus Chrome” debate is still hot among iOS users, but as always, the developers over at the Cydia store have got a rather distinct opinion of their own. BrowseInApp is a new tweak that aims to make web browsers a little less important on an iPhone. No, it is not a standalone web browser; you will still have to continue using your current browser for routine tasks. The sole aim of BrowseInApp is to provide a quick and easy way to open links from within any app. If you have this tweak installed on your iPhone or iPad, you will be able to open any web link within the app you are currently using, without having to navigate your way to a web browser. BrowseInApp will open the link in the blink of an eye, and the tweak’s own browser comes complete with a usable address bar, back/ forward keys and a close button!

Giveaway: BrowseInApp is a paid Cydia tweak that costs $0.99. We’re giving away 5 licenses for the tweak to five lucky readers. You’ll find additional information about taking part in the giveaway at the bottom of the post.

BrowseInApp Settings BrowseInApp Options BrowseInApp Browser

The BrowseInApp tweak is available in the BigBoss repo of the Cydia store. Once you have installed the tweak to your iDevice, go to the stock Settings app where BrowseInApp adds a new menu of its own. There are just two functional options in the the tweak’s menu. The first toggle does nothing more than enable the tweak’s functionality, while the one marked Open in app directly must be used if you want to always open the links within apps rather than getting a choice between the BrowseInApp browser and your default one. So, once everything has been configured, go to any app like a third-party or stock email client, and tap a link there. If you didn’t enable the second option in the tweak’s settings, tapping a link will bring up a menu that can be used to open the link in your default browser, within the current app or you can simply copy the link to your device’s clipboard.

The BrowseInApp browser has a pretty basic interface, but it gets the job done and you won’t feel the need to open any content in a proper web browser after you have viewed it in this tweak. If you want, you can tap the address bar in BrowseInApp and type in any address you want. The arrow button in the bottom bar will allow you to open the current page in your default browser, while the cross closes the tweak’s browser.

BrowseInApp is available for $0.99, and if you use it with the “Open in app directly” option, it is completely worth the price.
