Even though the newly designed UI brings tools and option on the ribbon, yet sometimes it is required to follow the writing rhythm without using mouse. Since listing content is widely used in documents, you may need to know the quick shortcuts of creating numbered, alphabetical and bulleted lists.
Place the cursor where you want to create a list.
- Enter 1 followed by period [.] and hit spacebar to create numbered list
- Use ‘a’ [.]+ spacebar to create a alphabetical list
- And asterisk (*) followed by space to create a bulleted list.
The shortcuts are also works in previous versions of Microsoft Word.
