Finally there is some great news for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S owners as the carrier has announced Android 2.2 Froyo update coming this month.
According to Stefan from T-Mobile UK : 
Hi there,
We are pleased to announce that there will be a software update for the Samsung Galaxy S at the end of the month. This will update your phone software to Android 2.2 and will be available through the Samsung Kies PC application.

It was earlier rumored that Android 2.2 Froyo update for Samsung Galaxy S won’t be available until end of October. This update won’t be Over The Air for T-Mobile UK users and will be available for download through Samsung Kies Software. It is advised to backup all important data on your phone before upgrading to this version because this update might require a complete device wipe before new firmware installation. The estimated time of release of Android 2.2 Froyo in other parts of the world for Samsung Galaxy S is not confirmed yet.
