Lomolizer is a new, free photo-editing app for Windows Phone 7 and a must-have for fans of Lomography or rather, the popular Lomo photo effect. However, Lomography is not the only objective of this app. Using it, you can also tinker with a photo’s brightness and saturation in addition to toggling vignette on and off.
On the app’s homepage, there are two options; you can either take a photo from within the app or import an existing image from the Pictures hub via the browse photos option. If you use the camera, anything you snap using it will have a Lomo effect by default (not removable). But the app’s functionality doesn’t stop here. You can still change some of the attributes of the photo you have taken (or chosen from your library).
Additional photo editing options presented by the app are as follows:
- Vignette (toggles the dark radial border on or off)
The options can be controlled through sliders provided below them, but the processing is a bit slow and you will have to wait a while after every touch. Also, the app takes quite a long time when you opt to save a finished photo.
Some of you may find this app useful as it is, despite the small number of features it offers, but we believe it needs to add much more flexibility before it is able to threaten other similar apps on the market.
Lomolizer is available for free on the Windows Phone Marketplace. Link to its Web Marketplace page is provided below.
