Although it’s too early to report, but for the sake of information it is now confirmed that Android 3.0 Gingerbread will be followed by Android 3.5 Honeycomb. As per BGR, this was confirmed by some high-level Samsung Executives at IFA.
This is what exactly DJ Lee, Samsung head of global sales and marketing, told Pocket Lint:
…"There will be a Honeycomb tablet device", he stated. "There will be an entire tablet device portfolio"…
There is not much known about features and enhancement of this OS version, but it is for sure that this Android 3.5 HoneyComb will be Android tablet focused. Android 3.5 is speculated to surface in Q2 next year and Samsung already has planned a range of Galaxy S tablets that will be updated to this OS. The Samsung Galaxy S tablet release is not far and it is the first device promised Android 3.0 Gingerbread upgrade; right after release.
