Although the developers still have to work on making Android work glitch free on TouchPad, but this development seems to be a huge leap forward. The foremost task undertaken by Touch Droid team is to enable Touchscreen and hardware acceleration functionality on TouchPad running Android.

It is worth noticing that there is already a bounty of $ 2000 + on successful porting of Android on TouchPad and so far things are going in the right direction. Until now there is no ETA available but we believe that soon general public will be able to get Android running natively on their TouchPads. Dual booting on WebOS and Android also suggests that developers have managed to crack NAND of this device. There are speculations that TouchPad might become “HD2 of Tabs” integrating versatility and receiving more than just one OS port.
