iPhone 3GS owners are having a hard time in locating jailbreaks and unlocks that can work on their devices running iOS 4.
Until now it is pretty evident that only those iPhone 3GS devices will be able to get iOS 4 jailbroken onto them, which have Old Bootrom version i.e. 359.3. There is a complex procedure available, but iH8sn0w, recently released his simple One Click Bootrom identification tool, iDetector.
Here is a step by step guide on how to check the Bootrom version of your iPhone 3GS:
- The first step is to download iDetector.
- Now connect your iPhone 3GS and put it in DFU mode.
- Now execute iDetector and simply click “Is my Bootrom Old or New” button. You will get a prompt identifying the bootrom version for your iPhone 3GS.
