The stock HTC Clock app for Android allows you as much as 10 slots of different alarms, which needless to say is more then enough for most users. However, we stumbled upon this mod created by XDA-Developers forum member chingy51o that increases those slots to up to 24 for the HTC Thunderbolt. Honestly we can’t understand why would someone want 24 alarms setup at one time but if you have your reason to do so, read on to grab the app and install it.
The installation is quite a simple task actually, and can be accomplished with the following procedure.
Requirements:
- A rooted HTC Thunderbolt. See how to root Verizon HTC Thunderbolt.
- ClockworkMod Recovery installed. See what is ClockworkMod recovery and how to install it.
- A deodexed ROM installed.
- Alarm Clock mod.
Instructions:
- To begin, download the Mod from the link above and copy it to the root of your SD card.
- That done, reboot your phone into recovery and make a nandroid backup.
- Now select Install zip from sd card > choose zip from sd card and select the Mod you copied to your SD card.
- You will be prompted with whether to install it or not, so choose Yes and let it flash.
- The flashing will be done in a few seconds. Once done, simply reboot your phone.
That’s it! Your Clock app should now support up to 24 alarms, for whenever you might need it under circumstances that we just fail to comprehend. For any queries or updates, visit the forum thread at XDA-Developers.
