  2. Download the ROM from the link below and copy it to the root of your phone’s SD card.
  3. Power your phone off and reboot it in recovery.
  4. Perform a nandroid backup.
  5. From recovery, choose to install zip from SD card, select the ROM that you copied to the SD card in step 2, confirm any prompts and wait patiently while the ROM is flashed to your phone.

no signal, also load screen says vibrant

    • http://www.addictivetips.com/ Haroon Q. Raja

Well no one else seems to have the no signal problem. Try flashing again, making sure to wipe all data, cache and dalvik cache before and if you still can’t get it going, restore your nandroid backup to get back to your previous ROM. You might also wanna head over to the developer’s thread (link given in the article) and contact him for help.

      Not sure of that.

work on vibrant, but no phone call :( + wifi

    • http://www.hqraja.com/ Haroon Q. Raja

I don’t know what might cause that because calling is functional in this ROM and so is WiFi. Are you referring to WiFi calling? Or do you mean calling and WiFi don’t work at the same time?

  • Brandan

Thanks so much, works awesome! Love the update!

    • http://www.hqraja.com/ Haroon Q. Raja

You might need to copy it to the internal SD card rather than the removable one.

  • Leo

    I got it right… thanks…

  • Paul

    thx for the fast reply!!

  • dave

    oh yeah how could i forget…also a dj05 modem. geez….lol

    • http://www.hqraja.com Haroon Q. Raja

For all the answers to your questions, visit the forum thread and ask the developers of the ROM. We are just featuring it here based on the information that we have on it and whether it will be compatible with your radio, kernel and modem etc. can be more reliably answered by the developer.

so I am trying to use Rom manager but every time I flash clockworkmod recovery and then reboot into recovery on my vibrant it isn’t installing correctly. I keep getting errors saying
      E:failed to verify whole-file signature
      E:signature verification failed
      Installation aborted
ive tried multiple times and I keep getting the same thing. now i am trying to use fastboot but I cant find a recovery image for the vibrant. is there anything else I can do? BTW my phone has been rooted with Superoneclick. I have done all the prep work needed to flash the 2.3 Gingerbread this is the only step I’m having trouble with.

  • michael

Sorry but I am confused, is this for the samsung facinate or the vibrant?

    • http://www.hqraja.com Haroon Q. Raja

Sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking when I started off with Vibrant and went all Fascinate throughout the remaining guide. It is for Vibrant. Thanks for asking or I might have not noticed.

I successfully flashed this ROM on my Vibrant in recovery mode.

But it’s originally Froyo with Gingerbread clone.

No use of flashing this ROM on your Froyo vibrant

Froyo looks good & is Fast.

Wait for the official Gingerbread update for the vibrant.

I’ve flashed back to my stock Vibrant froyo.
