We have brought you Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the HTC Desire before here, here and here, and now we are happy to bring you another latest custom Gingerbread ROM for your and our favorite Android device that’s been released yesterday. This ROM is called Redux b1 and is quite slick, giving its users a smooth experience. It includes the extremely useful customizable notification and home screen power widgets that we are such big fans of, along with root, Busybox, Zeam launcher, reboot menu, battery percentage icon, headset icon, smooth spinner, lock screen music controls, track change with volume long-press and more. It is based on Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread and the kernel used is vorkKernel 220.127.116.11.
Before you can install this ROM, your phone needs to be rooted. If it isn’t, refer to our guide on how to root HTC Desire. You also need a custom recovery installed. If you don’t already have one installed, check out our guide on how to install ClockworkMod recovery to your Android phone.

To install this ROM, download it from the link given below, reboot your device into recovery, take a nandroid backup, wipe all data, cache and dalvik cache and flash the ROM from its zip file.
