Finally there is some great news for iPhone 3G owners who were virtually sick and tired of iOS 4.X slow performance ruining their iPhone experience. Today, at Apple media event, Mr. Jobs has announced iOS 4.1, which will fix a number of issues inclusive of laggy iPhone 3G. While explaining iOS 4.1 features, Mr. Jobs went on saying that this iOS 4.1 will not only fix the laggy performance issue of iOS 4.X on iPhone 3G, but will also rectify Bluetooth and proximity sensor problems experienced on all iPhones restored to iOS 4.X.
The iOS 4.1 will be released next week and you will be able to restore your stock un-jailbroken iPhone 4, iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Touch through iTunes on this firmware build. Apart from this, iOS 4.1 will come packaged with:

- HDR Photos
- TV Rental Facility
- Game Center
