You call it a lucky accident or a teaser, but it is now confirmed that work is in progress ( seems to to us like done) for jailbreaking iPod Touch 2G 4.0 OS.
We have been able to identify this because of an accidental picture leak by ih8snow on twitter. ih8snow is the infamous iDevice developer and pawn-age tool creator with many jailbreaks and unlocks directly credited to him. From the picture that has been released. we can see that Beta version of this Sn0wbreeze –V1.6 will be thoroughly developer focused and a user-friendly final build will hit the roads once the iPhone OS 4.0 is officially released at WWDC 2010. This snOwbreeze version 1.6 will be a sure sign of releif to all those still on out-dated 2G iDevices. Moreover this initial beta jailbreaking tool will be Mac centric, as iPhone Dev Team makes these releases only mac compatible. So now you have a reason to retain your iPod Touch 2G because if this jailbreak is successful ( which has been normally the case in the past) then you will be able to match your speed with all 3G and 4G HD iDevices. We can very well speculate that once this jailbreak is successfully carried out on iPod Touch 2G, It will also make your iPhone 2Gs a highly worthy snowbreeze 1.6 jailbreak candidate too.
