The practice of keeping journals might not be as common as it once was, but still, there are many people who get a strange kind of satisfaction in recording the events of their daily lives. As paper has been replaced by technology in almost all the areas of life, diaries are no different. If you want to maintain a journal, then it is better that you make use of your PC or iPhone, as that way your writings will have a longer life and you can protect your privacy more efficiently as well (you can’t put a password over a paper diary, can you?). If you own an iOS device, then you can make use of the stock Notes app to write your journal, but where’s the fun in that? There are apps which are there in the App Store specially for diary writing, and are customized to have all the features you are every likely to look for to express your feelings accurately. Moments is one such app, and if you are in to diary writing, it will be a pleasure to use.
Before we tell you about all the good things offered by Moments, it is only fair to talk of something which is a bit annoying about it. It would have been really nice had it been possible to change the theme of the app, as the current theme is a bit too girlish. Apart from that slight shortcoming, Moments is just about perfect. Using the app is easy, and all the features are self-explanatory. There is the New Diary icon on the main page of the app to get started, and the list of previous entries can be viewed from the Old Diaries section. From the Settings menu of the app you can backup the diaries to your PC as well, and the directions for that are provided within the app too. In addition to the list of older writings, you can view the past diaries on Moment’s calendar, along with a few details associated to each post.
When you get down to writing in Moments, there are quite a few options for customizing the look and feel of your notes. Font, text size and color can be chosen by users, and there is also an impressive list of emoticons available in Moments. The app has options to let you record your voice and attach it to a note, and any song from the Music library can be added to the text too. In the photos section of Moments, you can shoot photos, or load them from the camera roll of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Arguably, the best feature of of the app is its Doodle and Handwriting options, which let you attach your finger paintings to notes.
Moments has a host of really impressive features, and is available for free for a limited time. So, do give it a try by heading to the link below.
