It is now confirm that Motorola will also be joining the touch tablet bandwagon really soon. Mr. Sanjay Jha, Co-CEO Of Motorola, while addressing an investor focused conference spilled the beans. According to him, The primary focus of Motorola is now on Android and that is certified by leaking of new android devices like Android shadow and enhancements of the older ones. Although the primary objective of this summit was to discuss Smartphone development and opportunities, but the discussion soon lurched towards Motorola’s interest in touch tablets.

Mr. Jha was reported saying these words.

I think that a companion 7- to 10-inch device in a home will become very important, [both] as an augmentation to your TV experience [and] also as a way of walking around the house and streaming TV to that device,” Jha said. “I think we’re very focused in participating in this convergence that’s coming between mobility and home, and I think you will actually see some products from us in a very short period of time.

Jha also added that their to-be touch-tablet will of course be running Android, which actually brought Motorola right back into Smartphone business.

After the release of Dell Streak, we have observed a sudden hike in companies looking to release their own Android geared touch-tablets. A couple of days back Acer unveiled their plans and now joining the party is Motorola meaning that iPad won’t be the only super contender when it comes to touch-tablet.
