Finally Microsoft has started to give out Windows Mobile 7 testing units and Samsung Taylor is one of them. The reason for this open-heartedness by Microsoft is because they want verdict on the phone’s hardware and software from established mobile phone geeks and enthusiasts.
Here are the specs of Samsung Taylor, presumably the first ever Windows Mobile 7 phone:

- Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor
- DirectX 9.x Graphic Support
- 256 MB RAM
- 8GB Internal Memory
- External Store is not allowed ( Sounds very weird, but a phone manufacturer can pre-integrate a MicroSD card which won’t be accessible by the user).
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- AGPS
- FM Radio
- 5 Mega Pixel Primary Camera
- Accelerometer
- Compass
- Proximity Sensors
From the specs, the device seems to be a high-end answer to Android OS. The pricing is not yet available but from the specs we can speculate that it won’t be costing more than USD 500.
