Do you have your contacts, clients, customers, friends or family members scattered all across the globe? Then you must be well aware of the hassle involved in keeping a tab on the time zones of each individual contact’s location, especially if you wish to plan a meeting with multiple users based in different regions of the world. Wouldn’t it be great if you had an app that helped you easily view the time zones of all the locations where your contacts are present, and let you inform your contacts about the meeting time as per the time in each of their regions? TimePal is an Android and iOS app that lets you add all locations of interest to a scrollable table so that you can easily monitor the current time in each location, and plan your meetings accordingly. You can set a specific city/country as your home location, and check the time difference of each added location with respect to your own. The app allows you to specify the time range for the meeting, and mail the meeting time to all your contacts. Moreover, you can create calendar events based on the specified meeting times, and copy the selected time range to clipboard to share it via text message or any alternative means.
To help you easily identify various time zones, the app sports a tabular display mode, complete with hour-by-hour comparison of each location with your own. You can also check out the sunrise/sunset time of each location, and see if a specific location is currently observing Daylight Saving Time (DST) or not.
While the mailing, event creation and export-to-clipboard features of TimePal are quite handy in their own respect, the app can also prove to be helpful in finding the ideal time to call/text contacts who live in different time zones.
By default, the app opens in landscape orientation, so that you can utilize the wider interface to easily monitor the time zones of multiple locations. The search bar at the top-left of the screen helps you with searching for the required location. Tapping a location name on the table lets you delete it or set it as your home location. You would also notice a toggle at the top side of the screen that helps you switch between 12 or 24 hour time mode.
To plan a meeting, all you need to do is specify a time range for the meeting by tapping the ‘start hour’ and dragging the range highlighter all the way to the ending time/hour of the meeting. Once done, tap anywhere within the range, and select whether you wish to mail the meeting time, create a calendar event based on the selected time range, or copy the selected time range to clipboard. The mail message comprises the meeting times for each selected location as per its respective time zone.
TimePal has a free and paid variant. The free version is ad-supported and lets you enjoy full features for a limited number of uses only. To lift this restriction, you can upgrade to the full version of the app for $2.
