How To Unlock iPhone 3G/3GS iOS4 Using UltraSn0w 0.92

Finally we have some good news for iPhone 3GS users who were looking to unlock their devices. Dev Team has officially announced their unlock tool for iPhone 3GS and 3G with 4.26.08 running iOS 4.

Here is the step by step guide on how to unlock iPhone 3G/3GS using ultrasn0w 0.92.

1. To carry out this unlock, you will need to have an iPhone 3GS running jailbroken iOS4. You can refer to our jailbreak iPhone 3GS and 3G guide here.
2. Now launch Cydia on your iPhone 3GS.
3. Tap Manage button on screen.
4. Once you have done this, tap “Sources” tab from the list.
5. Now press “Edit” and then “Add”. This will follow with a Url prompt where you need to put “http://ios4.ultrasn0w.org”. Now press the “add source” button.
6. This procedure will allow Cydia to automatically upgrade your iOS 4 sources needed for unlocking.
7. After Cydia is finished with installation, search for “unltrasn0w 0.92” through Cydia search field.
8. Install this app and there you go! your iPhone 3G/3GS is now unlocked to work with any carrier worldwide.
