AddictiveTips Redesigned; Tell Us What You Think!

Ahoy, readers! As you might already have noticed, we’ve rolled out a new website design. We’ve been rethinking our site’s theme for a while now, aiming to make it look more in sync with current trends while trying not to drift too far away from our original design for the comfort of our regular readers. Yesterday, we decided to finally don the new look, and now that you’ve had the time to look through it, we’d like to know what you think about it. After all, this design transition is for you, the readers, and we can’t mark it complete without your feedback.

So, fire away! Tell us what you like about the new theme, and what you think is missing. Feel free to drop suggestions regarding areas that you think have room for improvement.

Nice job. I don’t usually pay attention to the page itself much, since I visit via my RSS when I find something I like, but it looks pretty good to me. Keep up the great work AT! Thx

      Thanks for the feedback, John!

Nice and clean design, seems to be more “reader-friendly”,
but look a bit like Windows 8 UI IMO.

    Perfect one, nice color combination.
But lots of header space wasted and I found a bug in the archives page its empty. Fix it.
    Anyway you done great :)

  • Utkarsh

The new design is clean and great! Keep it up AT!!

  • Jess

Sexy. Love the ICS-like colours. The addictivetips header is quite tall though, seems like wasted space.

Also, just noticed the font of the top bar (the platform select bar thing – sorry!) isn’t very clear. Letters seem a bit fuzzy. Very noticeable in the Search box. Could just be my res! Good job guys, lookin’ good :)

Simple, Clean and Sexy.. Loved it…

I’m addicted to this theme :)
one suggest: reduce the size for “Recommended For You”, and add more recommendations there. :]

    Nice design. Neat and clean.
But I’m not quite a fan of large left/right margins. Also, the side menu could be a bit smaller.

  • roberto

will you ever publish an android app?

  • bvssunnydale101

There is a normal resistance-to-change but somehow it’s not as clear as the previous version – less is more (you need a little more white-space, particularly between the two columns) but the really distracting thing is that (I’m using Chrome) the fonts appear much less-sharp, giving the entire site a less professional look. Just-an-opinion..

      I also think so!

Very nice. I noticted it right away and it’s really pretty.

  • Asskicker

Really great theme guys, keep it up! :)

  • puff

It looks great. Keep it up

  • rochak shrestha

I do not much care about design as long as its clear, fast and easy to use. Really love the content. Good work though. cheers

  • Anton

Love it, so are you going to share previous themes :D

  • Analog33k

    Nice !!!
Suggestion: can you put the “share” buttons only once? Either before or after the post. Personally I prefer after…

  • Jacques

I like the look. The only thing I miss is the icons for the article category instead of the new text. The icons for Windows, Android, etc. stood out well and were quicker to “read.”
Thanks, keep up the great work.

    • zonavip10

yes, please, i want again back the icons

  • g….

Excellent color combo and elegent design. One thing that bugs me (and a lot of sites do this) is the big header at the top. slim is in!

  • http://techeverytime.com/ Ankur

    Looks clean, good job

  • http://twitter.com/NIMSRULES Nirmal Shah

Great subtle changes. One suggestion though, kindly put an outline: none in the search box input’s CSS.
P.S – The footer looks amazing!

  • afaq

Some design elements seems to be copied from The Next Web directly.

  • Peter

Pity that you have replaced the Android, Windows, etc. icons beside article headers with white on blue text. I have to squint to read the text whereas I could see the icons at a glance.

I like it. Who designed it?

  • http://www.facebook.com/lucasdantaaas Lucas Dantas

    Ficou ótimo, de verdade.

  • http://wheeqo.web.id R. Bambang Widiatmoko

    no mobile browsing friendly? bad!

  • dmachop

New style looks good but a few suggestions:
Use icons instead of the text in the Categories, I still prefer the old ones; can catch the category by icons better

  • thedesolatesoul

The new modern look is really nice and clean. The contrasting colors make it easy to notice and find things. Great work.

  • Tony

Feelin the new design. Nice, sleek, simple

  • Alan

Very cool! I just think you will have to improve on the menu page – maybe make it a bit bigger>
