We Hate Spam Blogs, Who Doesn’t?

Note: This is a personal opinion post from Nakodari, the editor-in-chief at AddictiveTips blog. He hates spam blogs and so do you, read on.

We would like to apologize to our readers(mostly those who use Google Reader or other RSS readers). Over time various blogs(including sblogs) have started hotlinking to our screenshots, thus eating huge amount of bandwidth. I hate spam blogs(sblogs), who doesn’t?

Recently I added a small hotlink protection code in the .htaccess file, it was to show the following image if sblogs hotlink to our screenshots:

This was supposed to be the best weapon to save bandwidth from getting wasted. But as it turned out due to some reason our RSS readers were seeing the above image too. We immediately removed the code after one of our reader pointed out the glitch. Thanks Nicola, I owe you a drink! ;)

Now back to reviewing awesome software!
