If you frequently take pictures on the go and share them on Facebook, it’s likely that you’ve got a huge collection of pictures in either the Mobile uploads or Wall Photos. While Facebook conveniently allows you to move images from one album to another, you have to select the destination album for all image individually. MoveThemAll is Chrome extension that automatically selects the same destination album for all photos and make it easier to migrate all images from one album to another.

The extension is an easy way of moving all photos from one album to another. While it is possible to make the change without this extension, it is a long process which involves selecting the destination album from a dropdown for every single image in the album. To move photos in bulk, open an album for editing and select the album you want to move all the images to.

A dialog box will pop up alerting you that the destination for all pictures in the current album has been changed to the same you selected for the first image. Click Ok to proceed.

The Move to dropdown under each image will have changed so that it is the same as the one you selected. Click Save Changes and all images will be moved to the new album. If you accidently select the wrong album and the above pop up appears, click Ok and simply change the album name for the first image. The extension will change your selection for all pictures in the album.

The extension in no way impacts the comments and likes for the images moved, as moving images is a Facebook function. It simply lets you move pictures from one album to another in bulk faster and easier.

Downloading entire albums from Facebook can be a bit laborious and time consuming. fbDownloader is a desktop application which allows you to easily download Facebook photos from your albums, tagged images and your friend albums. You can check for albums from your profile or a friend’s profile(s) and download it with a single click. Just login to your Facebook account and select the images/albums to download.

You will require giving fbDownloader app access to your profile in order to grab images from your profile or friend’s albums.

Once done, you can download your tagged photos, personal albums or friend’s albums by selecting an appropriate option from the left side of the main interface.

Once the albums are displayed, click the Download Album button (present below each album) to being downloading the album. You can select a destination folder from the Change button. By default the albums are saved in the Windows default Pictures folder.

Similarly, you can head over to the Your Friend’s Photos option, select a friends name from the drop down menu and click See Albums to begin viewing and downloading his/her album(s).

Dropico is a web application for sharing pictures across multiple social networking websites, such as Facebook, My Space, Twitter, Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, etc with a simple drag & drop. The functionality is even more interactive and vibrant than that of CoMemories, which we reviewed a while back. With Dropico, you can not only share but also edit your pictures on the fly, across multiple supported websites.

To begin, you will have to first create an account (which is free and hardly takes a minute). Pictures can be managed and shared across multiple social networks by connecting to the specific service and allowing access to the Dropico application. Each supported website that has access to Dropico is listed as ON (can be switched Off with a single click too). You can connect to multiple online accounts during the signup process or later from the settings.

It provides users with an email address that can be used for uploading pictures to Dropico and any connected social networking service via a mobile device. This can be done by sending a photo from a mobile to the assigned email address, which is then immediately added to all the connected social networking websites automatically.

To share photos across numerous networks just drag the respective image and drop it over to the desired album in the main interface. This will instantly transfer the image to the album that it is dragged into. Unfortunately you cannot drag and drop entire albums from one account to another, so you will have to move your images one at a time.

Other than providing the utility of sharing pictures across multiple social media websites, it also includes extensive editing options for users. Hovering the mouse pointer over an album displays the view and slideshow option. The latter allows you to see the image album in a slideshow, whereas the former displays all the pictures in the album. All images can be edited in either the Pixlr Express mode (for quick fixing), Pixlr Editor (for advanced editing options) or the Pizap Editor mod (to make funny photos).

Selecting any of the desire modes, displays the image within an image editing interface with elaborate options to make changes to your photos and to save and share them via your online accounts. The changes made to your photos are instantly reflected on the social media website that it is present on.

We come across so many instances when we are simply unable to catch enough of the cherished moments in our cameras at a party, picnic, wedding, etc. Some very nice pictures are taken by our friends while we have some good ones that they wish to acquire. To create a new album, enter name of the album and click Create Gallery button. If you want to manage your albums, you will need to login with Facebook account, which requires granting access to Comemories to access your profile.

Editor’s Note: Logging in with Facebook is just required for Comemories to remember which album are yours. The developer grantees that nothing will be posted to your wall or interfere with your Facebook profile in any way.

After creating an Album anyone with the album link can drag pictures from their hard disk to add to the album. Therefore, it is necessary that the link of the created album is only given to your trusted sources. This unfortunately also creates a security void as there is no encryption or password mechanism to access the created album. Anyone with a Facebook account and a link to the album can add pictures to it. I hope that the developers of this application provide a password protected mechanism for the created albums in order to provide more privacy and security to user data.

Once the album is complete anyone can download the entire album as a zip file from the album link. The album can also be shared to Twitter, My Space, Facebook, Google, Windows Live, etc. Comemories is the kind of application that envisions Google’s approach of cloud computing.  Nonetheless, this application and many like it should work on providing more enhanced security for the common user in order to allow users the privacy and confidence that they require in order to accept such applications for general use.

There are times when you need to download your friend’s photo albums on facebook. Some might argue that it is a breach on one’s privacy, but i disagree. Suppose you and your friend go out for a trip, he brings the camera and take photos all the way, finally he uploads them to facebook and tags you. Now you want to download these photos, instead of downloading them one by one you can save plenty of time by downloading the full album with a single click.

FacePAD is a free Firefox extension that lets you download any photo album from facebook instantly. It is dead simple to use, once you have installed this add-on, right-click the Album name and select Download Album with FacePAD as shown in the screenshot below.

The photos will be downloaded to your Firefox’s default download directory. It will download 20 photos(1 page) at a time and will show you a pop-up box asking you to begin the download  process. If you have more than 20 photos in your album(multiple pages), then it will show you a pop-up javascript box for each page.

There are other tools available for downloading photos from facebook, but this is the fastest way so far. Enjoy!

My iTunes music collection is pretty much messed up, and so is everybody else’s. I have been looking around for a solution to fix my music collection, most of my albums have missing cover art and half my songs don’t have proper details. I tested different tools and software, but all pretty much failed to clean up my music collection. Finally I came across TuneUp and planned to give a try. It is an add-on for iTunes developed specifically to clean up your music collection and find missing cover art.

You will see TuneUp on the right side of iTunes once you have installed it. All you need to do is register with them and start cleaning up your music collection(no need for an email confirmation).

To clean your mislabeled music, click the Clean Your Mislabeled Music link and drag your songs in the window. It will clean up your mess automatically. After it’s done, you will be shown the results of the clean up. Click Save All button to save your cleaned up music in your iTunes.

Below are screenshots of my iTunes Music library before and after using TuneUp to clean my music.

Click on Find Your Missing Cover Art and it shows the number of albums in your music collection that are missing the cover art, in my case there were 79 albums(that’s a lot). Tune Up detected all missing cover arts for me automatically as you can see from the screenshot below.

You can select which cover art to choose for an album manually, or you can simply click Save All button to save all album cover art at once. Below are the screenshots of my music albums before and after TuneUp found the missing cover art.

eSpew is another search engine dedicated for finding MP3 files. eSpew also allows you to create playlists and view lyrics for a song, along with alphabetical listing of their archive files. The also have a toolbar which you can use to directly search for files from the browser.

Seekmp3 that is just another mp3 search engine that is very simply like other major search engine. However, this search engine support various of language like Spanish , French, Chinese , Japanese and etc.

Music map

When you connect to Music-map.com, it asks you to give it the name of an artist. Then, based on what previous users have told it, it will display a cloud of artist names – the closer they are to the centre, the more likely you are to like them (or so the theory goes). If you want to look a little further afield, you can then click on one of the names in the cloud and it will create a new cloud with that artist at the centre.
