The big news for HTC Desire S users is here! CyanogenMod nightlies for Desire S are officially rolling out now as per announcement from XDA member Nexx. The CyanogenMod 7.1 for HTC Desire S is based on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbead with stock CM 2.6.35.14 kernel and is fully compatible with Tiamet custom kernels. For those who don’t know, CyanogenMod is a Android AOSP based custom ROM that is meant for enhancing your phone’s capabilities and unleash the true potential of Android. In order to install CyanogenMod 7.1 Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on your Desire S, you must have root along with ClockworkMod Recovery installed. It’s necessary to mention here that you can only acquire permanent root on Desire S if you have S-OFF.

Install Unofficial CyanogenMod 7 On Motorola Triumph [Guide]
Finally there is some great news for all Motorola Triumph users looking to install / flash CyanogenMod 7 Android 2.3 Gingerbread custom ROM on their device. An unofficial CM 7 port, in alpha stages, is now available for download. The credit for cooking this delicious bacon for Triumph goes to Genesis3 at XDA forums. Like all initial ROM ports, there are certain aspects that don’t work after you install this ROM on your phone.

Finally there is some great news for LG Optimus GT 540 Android phone owners as Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread based CyanogenMod 7.1 has been ported. The credit for this unofficial yet highly awesome CM port goes to Mur4ik from 4PDA Russian forums. According to the developer, essentials like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Camera, 3D Acceleration, GPS, aGPS, Sensors, Memory Card Mount etc. work file. Work is underway to fix DivX / Xvid codecs, modem and USB tethering on this port.

Install Android 2.3.5 Unofficial CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM On HTC Dream G1
Android’s earliest smartphone generation, has blatantly refused to die. Determined to see the evolution of the OS through to stages beyond imagination, the HTC Dream G1 just received a custom ROM based on Google’s latest Android 2.3.5 firmware, shortly after the firmware was released for the Nexus S 4G. Since then the firmware has been operated on and dissected and finding itself ported onto a handful of Android handsets. In the HTC G1’s case, credit goes to XDA-Developers forum member dw9906 for compiling a CM7.1 based ROM from Cyanogenmod’s source.

Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, the latest upgrade for Android, has transformed into an Androider’s sensation after the official source code released. There are multiple devices that have already got this new version courtesy of custom ROMs, and surprisingly, Galaxy S branded variant Fascinate is the first one to receive it inform of a CyanogenMod nightly build. Of course 2.3.5 is scheduled to be integrated in respective CM builds for select devices in upcoming releases, but ht1134, responsible for managing CM for Fasinate, has already managed to do it on his assigned device.
