This setting is enabled by default in Windows 7, so if you don&#8217;t need the backup and restore function, and don&#8217;t want others who use your computer to back up data, then go through the following simple steps to disable this setting.</p>

<p>Launch the <em>Local Group Policy Editor</em> to change the settings, click <em>Start</em>, type <em>gpedit.msc</em> and press <em>Enter</em>, it will be loaded.</p>

<p>Now in the left side pane, navigate to <em>User Configuration &gt; Administrative Templates &gt; Windows Components &gt;Backup &gt;Client.</em></p>

This tip is for disabling your task manager, not enable it.</em></p>
<p>Sometimes one needs to disable the task manager to give clients limited access in a network or to prevent other users from doing a specific task. There are multiple software available for this purpose, but the best way is to disable it using <strong>Local Group Policy Editor</strong> which is build-in your Windows and does not require any software to be installed.</p>

<p>To begin with you will have to open <strong>Local Group Policy Editor</strong>, to do this go to <strong>Run</strong> and enter <strong>gpedit.msc.</strong></p>
