Spotify did the exact opposite; it started out with desktop and mobile apps and has just introduced a web player that is slowing being rolled out to different Spotify accounts. Regardless whether or not you have a paid subscription to the service or just a free one, you should be able use the web interface which lets you play music, listen to and create different radio stations, and manage playlists. The interface is stunning yet simple although it might be a little crowded if you use it on a smaller screen. The web player consists of four sections; a section bar at the far left that allows you to move to your playlists, the radio, or check out what’s new, the section to its left shows additional controls for the tab you’re in whereas the last two larger ones list your music and showcase the music player. Last month we reviewed X-Screamer Radio, a portable version of Screamer Radio application, which allows music fans to record and listen to thousands of online radio stations. ClickGaGa is yet another such solution for Windows OS that enables its users to not only listen to various radio stations but also instantaneously grab their favorite tunes from the radio with an integrated sound record function. The application saves the audio output in MP3 format and suffice to say, the sound quality is on par with other popular radio clients with built-in recording option. What gives it the upper hand however, is its ability to record an audio track from the start, as according to the developers, it remembers the beginning of the track and automatically starts from there, for instance, even if you’ve missed a song. However, Android and iOS have the advantage of having a host of third-party apps to replace the stock player, whereas the apps for Mango aren’t as good. Fortunately, WP7’s lack of good apps is being rectified gradually, and the Marketplace has become home to a number of well-developed apps. Beem is one such app that is not a music player, but rather a client for a radio broadcaster, DI.FM. Having said that, the app will let you listen to your favorite music, specially if you are a fan of trance or fast-paced music genres.
