Click & ShareIt is an ingeniously simple application which does exactly what its name suggests – It lets user share files online with a single click. This will come utterly helpful for those who frequently need to share screenshots, screencasts, voice recordings with their friends or co-workers. The functionality for recording screencasts, taking screenshots, and recording voice is build-in. You can share them with an extreme comfort, just perform any action, it will upload the file immediately on its live server, and generate the link to let you share it with others.

The application sits in system tray to let you perform an action quickly. A click on the icon will show you 4 options, Screenshot, Screen recording, Push to talk, and Send a file.

The screenshot taking functionality has a simple usage, you need to capture an area of screen which is to be shared. Once captured, it will instantly start uploading the file and copy the address of the link (where it will be uploaded) to clipboard.

Just paste the link (Ctrl+V) in address bar to verify the image before sharing the link. Please note that to protect privacy, the link will be deleted in 7 days.

Likewise, you can create and share screencasts, just place the screen recording window over an area where the actions are to be performed, once done, it will upload the screen recording file in the same fashion. The Push to talk refers to recording voice via microphone as long as you push the button and file sending option brings up file browser to specify the file which you want to share online.

It offers a share manager to organize and manage the files and voice recording you’ve shared earlier. To use the share manager, you need to sign up, however, you can use Google account to sign-in. As of now it only allows 25 MB of free space, user requiring more space can purchase 1GB package for $5 a month. It runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Testing was done on Windows 7 x86 system.

Suppose you want to share a quick screencast with your friend or co-worker, what will you do? Search a screencast tool, download it, install it, learn to use it, record the actual screencast, name it, save it, and send it. Woah! that’s a long lists. Instead you can simply grab TinyTask.

Update: We recommend that you try out Free Screen To Video and BB FlashBack Express. Both are awesome free screencast tool with options to save in various videos formats.

It is a free portable tool for windows that performs some basic automation tasks such as recording and playback. Just launch it, press record and it will begin recording. When done, press record again and it will stop recording.

When done, hit Play(hotkey F5) and it will play the screencast instantly. You can also hit Save to save the screencast in .rec format. The little utility has a total of 6 buttons, Open, Save, Record, Play, and Compile, and Options.

According to the developer, the entire program is only 29k – and 14k of that are icons, which means the executable portion is just a few K in size. Which in my opinion, is quite remarkable. From options you can choose options such as Play Speed, Continuous Playback, and Set Repeat Counts. It works on all versions of Windows.

Capture/Record Computer Screen And Audio With GoView

Do you want to record a demo of a software or do you plan to give a live presentation? Or maybe you want to help someone solve a computer problem? The whole blogosphere is talking about ScreenCastle, a free service let’s you record screencasts online without having to download anything. But have they forgotten about GoView?

GoView is a free online service that lets you record computer screen with audio(if you have a microphone) and better yet, it also lets you edit the recorded screencast online. You must have JavaScript and cookies enabled, otherwise it won’t work. You have to install the GoView screen recorder(which takes less than a minute to get automatically installed). Once installed, right-click the GoView icon in the system tray and select Record Screen & Audio to begin recording the screencast.

To select the microphone go to Preferences, if you don’t have any then the audio won’t be recorded. Once the recording begins, the icon will turn red. You can cancel or pause the recording anytime, once the recording is done, right-click the icon and select Stop.

When stopped, it will open a new browser window where you can enter the details, preview it, and finally save the recording. You also have an ability to password protect your recording.

Once the recording it saved, you can now either view and share it or edit it online.

It is recommended that you record the screencast on 1024 x 768 resolution, so that those people who have screen with smaller resolutions won’t have difficulty in watching it.

Click My Recordings to see the number of views, size, and length of the screencast. You can manage all screencasts from this page easily. Enjoy!
