First introduced in OS X Lion, Desktop Spaces provide an excellent platform for window management. Since then, the feature has become one of the most popular additions in OS X, though it is considerably limited in some areas. It’s the closest you get to a virtual desktop available system wide, so you won’t see too many complaints. At present, each desktop space operates somewhat independent of the other. You get the same desktop icons no matter which space you’re on, but you can keep windows and apps separate. You can also, by default, make the wallpaper for each space different. This might seem useful, but a fair number of users would prefer the same background across all desktops, and that isn’t possible in two clicks or less in OS X. It lacks any way to change the background for all desktop spaces at once, which is why you might need an app or script for that. We haven’t yet found an app that does so, but a simple script does the trick fairly well. Just yesterday, we saw a beautifully-designed photo gallery app called 'million moments' released by the technology giant. Today, we’re going to present you with yet another fine-looking Android app from the company. "α" CLOCK for Mobile lets you experience Sony’s new Time-shift UI on your Android device. The app presents you with photos of several worldwide destinations (UNESCO World Heritage Sites) taken with cameras that use "α" Interchangeable lenses. Finding a simple plain textured desktop background or a complex color rich one isn’t difficult, but nothing beats family photos or anything else that you may have personally snapped. Cookiepix Lite is a free Mac app that lets you combine your favorite pictures and create a desktop background out of them. The app is much like a collage maker that can help you create a wallpaper featuring whatever images you want. It comes with several styles that you can apply to images, and also has color and corner effects for better customization (where the latter simply makes the image look as if it were folded from a corner). MultiWall: Set A Different Wallpaper For Each Monitor Or Stretch One Across All

Wallpapers Desktop customization is rather important for one to increase overall productivity. While working, a good wallpaper can have very pleasant and positive effect on you. The default Windows 7 wallpaper management for a multi monitor setup is a little different from Windows 8. For example, in Windows 7 when you set a wallpaper as desktop background, the same wallpaper is applied on both monitors and there is no option to set a different wallpaper for each display monitor, while Windows 8 lets you set a different wallpaper for each screen and span one wallpaper across multiple monitors. A while back, we covered an application for Windows named DisplayFusion, a multi-display desktop window manager that lets you adjust the Resolution, Refresh Rate and Color Depth of each monitor separately and set primary monitor, manage its position and change wallpapers for both monitors. I have always emphasized on the importance of wallpapers to one's everyday computer work.
