Hulu needs no introduction. Till yesterday, it had a desktop application for both Windows and Macs and no official application was available for Linux. We covered a post regarding how you can watch Hulu using Boxee in Linux. But today, Hulu has released a desktop player for Linux. They are emailing all it’s users talking about how Linux support has been the most requested feature.
Visit the official hulu site and click the download for Linux button, and then choose installer for your operating system version. Currently they have launched installer for Ubuntu and Fedora Core only.
Once the download is completed, click the downloaded file and click the Install Package button. It will be installed within couple of minutes.
That’s it, now you can launch it from Applications > Sound & Video > Hulu Desktop. The desktop app is not much different from it’s Windows and Mac counterparts and works seamlessly when playing videos.
The Linux support for Hulu was much demanded from the community and it is great to see that it has finally arrived. Enjoy!
