Install AdobeAir In Ubuntu Linux

Adobe Air is a cross platform, versatile tool which lets you develop rich Internet applications using your existing web development skills. It support HTML, AJAX, Flash etc. One of the most exciting feature of AdobeAir is that it allows you to run light wight applications in your machine.  If you have downloaded an Abobe Air application, it won’t run unless Abode Air is installed, followings are steps to install it in Ubuntu.

  • First download it from Adobe’s official site.

  • Now, once download is complete, open terminal and type following command.

./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

  • It will initiate the AdobeAir installation wizard. At first step click I Agree.

  • Now, AdobeAir will start to install automatically.

  • When installation is complete, click Finish.

That’s all, Adobe Air is ready to use. Now go ahead and download its applications. Enjoy!

    the reason i don't use Linux is this:

    In Windows or Mac, i double-click on the installer to run it.
    In Ubuntu / Linux, i have to open some Terminal & type “./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin”.
    Why can't i just run click on it ? I don't get this. This is the reason why Linux will never be as popular.
