The Task Manager is the best built in tool which lets you manage all of the running applications or processes. Today, I came across another small utility ActiveWin, which displays information such as EXE Name, Caption, Class etc. Not only this, but it also lets users send Windows Messaging commands to the selected windows.
It offers many operations like Copy EXE Name to Clipboard, Copy CAPTION to Clipboard, Copy CLASS to Clipboard, Send Message etc. It also lets you save the current windows list by clicking the Save Windows List button. This can be useful if you want to troubleshoot any problem and need to copy the names of Exe, Caption, or Class.
Download ActiveWin (Please browse to Software from the left sidebar and then click Free Utilities)
It is quite an old tool but works perfectly on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Enjoy!
