Task management applications provide numerous strategies to help users efficiently organize their tasks in order to easily perform them. If you’re working on some big project that require you to organize tasks lists and allocate sub-tasks to different team members, then Comindware Task Management may help you organize your project, tasks and sub-tasks. It is a free web based task management software that provides you with a password protected dashboard. You can track the status of your tasks as well as customize and organize them in task lists. The application enables you to create unlimited number of tasks, dashboards and task lists from within the interface. As it’s based on collaborative task management concept, you can collaborate with a number of different team members to handle the tight project deadlines.
The application is free to use, but requires a product key, which you can obtain from Comindware website.It runs on localhost, which means that you can share the project details with anyone connected to the network. It offers simple and elegant UI design, and contains different panels for accessing and viewing the tasks. By default, the application comes with a total of 3 panels. The left panel contains the main navigation panel, where all sample tasks are listed such as My Active Tasks, My Completed Tasks, Active Delegated Tasks etc. You may add as many tasks lists as you want. Clicking the main tasks opens a middle panel that includes subtasks; for instance, you may want to create a main task named “Dr. John’s Assignments” and then create further tasks for John such as “Call Betty at 10.00” or “Meet me at the meeting” etc. The application contains some predefined fields such as Due Date, Entity Type, Parent, Priority etc However, it also supports adding custom tasks lists.
All the subtasks are displayed in right panel, where you can create new tasks or edit existing ones. When you have completed a task, you can instantly mark it finished by clicking Complete button on the toolbar. This will move the completed task to My Completed Tasks list. You can also add your important tasks to favorites list for instant access.
Clicking Administration from the top takes you to the application’s settings page, where you can customize a few options such as create templates, groups, workflows etc. You can also backup your data from System Settings –> Backup Management.
