- Facebook Feed Integration
When you log into the all new Skype 5.5, one of the most obvious change which you will notice is the Facebook tab. This tab contains your your Facebook feed which expands into side by side horizontal stacks, as the Skype window is expanded. Interestingly, the more you expand the Skype window, the more side by side horizontal feed blocks appear.

You can select your status message, comment on friend’s activity from the news feed and get notifications for new feeds.

To log out from your Facebook account anytime, select the disconnect option given below your Status box.

- Call Facebook Contacts From Skype
Now you can call your Facebook contacts directly from the Facebook tab in Skype. Just hover your mouse over a friend’s name and select the Call Phone button. This will display your contacts’ phone number which he/she has added to their Facebook profile. You can click on the available number to instantly call your friend via Skype.

- Facebook Chat integration
One of the most useful additions to Skype 5.5 is the ability of Skype users to chat with Facebook contacts via Skype. This provides the utility to chat with both Skype and Facebook contacts simultaneously, without the need of visiting Facebook using a browser.

One feature of Skype 5.5 which has definitely improved Facebook chat is the system tray notification, which alerts you when one of your Facebook contact is online. These notifications also appear when you log into Facebook chat via Skype.

- Window Separation Option
For better identification of your Facebook feeds and chats, you can switch between Compact and Default view by clicking on the button highlighted in the below screenshot. The default view separates the chat window and the Facebook feed so that you can monitor them separately. Clicking on the same button enables you to combine the two separated windows (Compact View).
