It is always desirable to keep a check on the way your system resources are being utilized. Software testers and developers often check the performance of the application by checking the load it causes on the CPU. The CPU Usage Logger comes in handy in such situations.
It is a portable opensource tool which shows the current CPU usage of the system on start.
Click the Calc Moving Average option and it will start logging the history of the last five seconds and this will be visible in the text area displayed on the right of check box.
You can save the logs for the CPU activity, hit the Browse button and choose the file in which you wish to save the logs and the app will save the CPU load’s log to the specified file.
You can analyze this file later when needed.
At the bottom you will find the statistical information shown in the graphical format, it shows the CPU load since when the program was started. This section can be useful if you wish to measure how your CPU is being consumed by some system application or program. Please note that this tool is for advanced users only who wish to see the detailed information of CPU activity, it won’t help novice users.
It works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2003/2008 Server, and Windows 7.
