i do not reccomend avg 9 antiviruse some went wrong while doing it and may bring errors to your pc,mac etc …..

yes the avg 8.5 was goino to close down but they decided it wasnt neccesary and kept it although there is versions of avg 8.5 that could cause problems or that has to be paid for so watch out for those and enjoy avg antiviruse.

I have a couple of questions. One is how do I get the avg 9 free version? I can’t find the link all I get are forums like this or the one that you gotta pay for a 1,2, or 3 year subscribtion. Question 2: I keep reading here that everyone reverted back to avg 8.5 and no likes avg9, so what will happen then once they discontinue 8.5? I had an update on my pc saying that in Dec, 8.5 is will no longer be supported. I am worried about this because I use windows 2000 and my computer is too old to handle an xp ugrade and I still want to use the computer I have.

I've had lots of problems with crashing and system going slow since installing AVG9
its awful.
