Not too long ago, mobile phones were only meant to make important calls and send short messages, but the technological world has come a long way in a very short time. The smart phones of today claim and seem to be able to do everything for us, other than making us coffee and doing our laundry (which, looking at the current pace of technological development, might be available in a few years time!). They have put everything from listening to music to task management in our hands. Today we have another application that lets your iPhone communicate with your PC in a very innovative manner. Flypad is a cross-platform application that turns your iPhone into a remote control for playing racing games on your PC. More on Flypad after the break.
Currently, only two games are supported by the app; Need For Speed:The Run and DiRT3, but more games are promised by the developer in future.
The application is really easy to set up. Install the EXE on your PC, download the app on your iPhone and make sure that both devices are connected to the same network.

If everything is fine, you will be able to see the name of your PC in the Active Console section of your iPhone app.

The app will automatically detect if the game is installed on your PC and allow you to control it with your iPhone. Each game has its own controls customized to match the ones available while playing with the keyboard on your computer.

A demo video is available on the product page, which puts things into a better perspective. Flypad works on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
