It is not uncommon to find yourself easily distracted when working on a research paper, studying online, writing articles, or programming. Work Recorder helps in tracking the time spend on each activity, eventually helping in getting work done faster and minimizing the distraction. It can also be a great help to beat internet addiction and increase productivity.
Once you get used to it, it becomes fun to complete work in minimal time. From the main interface, select the pre-defined items, which are, Research, Writing, Program, and Study. You can also add a custom item by typing any keyword. After you have selected the date and time, hit Begin.
The timer will begin which can be seen in the title bar and the Begin button will convert into Finished. Once you are done with the work, enter the description in Common text box and hit Finished.
Now you can record multiple work by following the same procedure as above and see the statistics by the end of session or day.
Being a portable tool, you can carry the folder anywhere with you and continue the application from the last saved location. The settings and data are saved in the same directory where the portable tool resides, so you will have to move the whole folder if you want the data as well.
It works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. We tested it on Windows 7 32-bit OS. Since it requires .NET Framework 4.0, it might be a major turn-off for some.
