AIRTranslate is a free Adobe Air app developed by Denis Volokh, the same guy behind AirFM. It does nothing except bringing the Google Translate service to the desktop. It can be useful for those who need to quickly translate a text.
Just start it, enter the text, select the language to convert it into, and hit Translate It. If you don’t know the language of the text, you can choose Auto Detect.
The output will be displayed in the same text box where you entered the text. Double-click the text to return back to the initial text. The text area can expand if you want to translate a long article or paragraph.
The downside is that it only works with regular text and cannot translate a website. I was expecting the tool to do a lot more, such as, open your default browser and show the translated website. But if you want a quick tool for text translation, then this works wonders.
It is a cross-platform tool, i.e, it works on Windows, Linux, and Mac. Enjoy!
