Hey Microsoft, Soapbox Is Dead. Do You Know That?

While writing a post on Window Live Photo Gallery, I discovered something humorous. What I found was that Windows Live Essential pack still have an option to upload videos to Soapbox, an outdated video service from Microsoft MSN portal.

When you click this option you can get a message stating, “The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later”. Actually this service has been permanently closed down as stated by Microsoft themselves, the Live Essential team might want to have a look at this and replace it with YouTube in the next release.

According to Wikipedia, Soapbox ended August 2009.

The current version of Moviemaker appears to have been released 8/17/2009.

I suppose you could dun MS for not having fixed this utterly trivial matter in the four months since, but when Moviemaker was written, betaed, and released, Soapbox was still around.

Actually the functionality I am talking about is upload videos to Soapbox and this functionality was ended on July. This post is just for humor, nevertheless Windows Live team should still remove this option in the next update.
