A few days back we showed you how to convert a PDF document to a Word file, but today we’ll try to show you how to convert your PDF file to any image format in few easy and simple steps. One method to convert your PDF document is through a web based tool and the other method requires you to download a free software utility that will do the job for you.
Here is how you can convert your documents, for your ease we have split the post into two sections
- Using a Web based tool
- Using a Freeware Software.
USING A WEB BASED TOOL
Zamzar.com is a web based utility that lets you convert your PDF document to different image formats, and the image files will be sent to your specified email address, once they’re converted in just a short while. We are using this web based tool because its powerful and it does its job pretty well.
All you have to do is open up Zamzar.com in your browser.
Browse through your files by clicking BROWSE, and search for the file you want to convert.
After selecting your file, choose the format you want to convert to, the list can be found in the second pane of the website’s main page.
After selecting you desired image format, write down the email address in the third pane, to where you want to receive the converted images.
So there’s no time to wait, just hit the convert button, it will upload your file for a while and then you’ll receive a confirmation email that your file has been converted, with a download link.

Just download the file by visiting this address and your done with the conversion.
USING A SOFTWARE TOOL
If for any reason you don’t want to use a web based tool for conversion, you can always use a software alternative. The software we will be using for conversion are OmniFormat V 8.3 and PDF995, both can be found on the same download page, First you have to install the PDF995 tool and thenl OmniFormat V 8.3.
After installing both programs, its time to gear up and start our conversion process, open OmniFormat from your start menu, and you will see the main screen of the program with some options which we’ll tell you how to use them.
NOTE: This software deletes the original file after conversion so whatever file you are adding to convert make sure you have a copy of it somewhere else in your hard drive!
So after adding the folder in which all your PDF files are placed, either you can place a single file in the WATCH folder or you can specify your own folder by ADD FOLDER button. Select the type of image you want your PDF file to be converted to.
After placing your file in the desired location all you have to do is to click on to the Start Monitoring tab, the software will search for PDF files in the folder, and then place the converted images in the same folder.
NOTE: This software deletes the original file after conversion so whatever file you are adding to convert make sure you have a copy of it somewhere else in your hard drive!
