How To Monitor Your Internet Speed Or Network Bandwidth

Do you want to check the speed of your internet connection, monitor the network bandwidth, or check the time it will take to download a specific file? BitMeter 2 is a great little application that keeps track of your internet or network bandwidth. It counts the total download and upload speed every seconds, you can keep track of your bandwidth for the whole week or months. This can come handy if you are using broadband with limited bandwidth.

Once you run this application it will show a bandwidth graph in a floating window which you can resize easily.

It also shows the total download and upload rate below the graph as you can see from the screenshot above.

You can also use the calculator feature to check how long or how much time it will take to download a file. To access this feature right-click the BitMeter icon and select Calculator.

You can also set the ISP Restriction, once you have reached the ISP bandwidth limit, it will alert you automatically when you reach 90% of the quota or you can set any percentage quota.

It has a wide range of preferences which you can set manually if you are an advanced user.

You can check your data history by going to Statics window where you will find your bandwidth history over the last few hours, days or weeks.
