This should be very simple - and nobody seems to know the answer. How do you should the formatting characters in Powerpoint 2010?
I don't see the option anywhere.

I used to be able to record a macro in PowerPoint 2003, but that was disabled at 2007. I hope it has returned! A macro can be very helpful if you want to paste an image, automatically resize and position it, and put it in the correct z-order. I was very disturbed when I found I could no longer record those steps and save them.

Oh boy i wish Excel 2007 supported the new equation editor... but the 2007 equation editor is limited to just Word. Office 2010 will hopefully port this feature to all of office (equations in outlook emails would be helpful)

I want to automatically start the tune of a song and display the verses of the song automatically - using rehearsed timings - so I can sing along without having to remember to move to the next slide manually.

In PPT 2007 the music and slides drift apart (I am told due to PPT operating the slides and Windows playing the music) so that any automation of the slide transition is useless.

I hope PPT 2010 solves this problem.
