It gets quite annoying after performing a fresh installation of Firefox on a new OS when you want to import every setting, add-ons and their preferences but can’t because there is no easy way. One user got frustrated by having to manually configure everything and coded down a simple app that does the job of exporting and importing Firefox profiles, meet PortProfile.
It is a Java application that will export and import the basic Firefox profile, saving countless hours when migrating between different operating systems. It compresses and stores the profile in .ppz format to the users home directory.
You have the choice to export a selected profile from the list. The developer plans to add an important functionality in the next version – export and import Firefox profile from remote location(FTP/SFTP).
