Network Uptime Analyzer is a portable network monitoring application for analyzing network load and gathering statistics about connected PCs, servers and devices that have an IP address allocated to them. It can monitor computers and numerous network devices from both a Workgroup, and via the Active Directory. Moreover, it provides detailed information about energy consumption of each device, and generates reports about energy costs, energy consumption and production.
To start monitoring devices, head over to the Clients tab and enter an IP/DNS Name range. The Clients are detected by Ping, so make sure that your firewall (if any) allows ICMP messages.
Once done, go to the Dashboard tab and set an analysis interval (e.g., every 5 minutes), ICMP detection timeout in milliseconds, average price consumption and CO2 emission parameters. Click Start Analyzer to begin the analysis. The left side section displays information about total network uptime, energy used in KWh, CO2 production, average cost per client, energy cost, average consumption per client, average uptime per PC, protocol entries and last check time.
You can also acquire and save this information in the form of visual graphs from the Detailed Report tab. All stats are periodically saved, provided the application is kept active to gather stats. You can view information for a selected time frame by choosing a time frame from the Timing section at the top.
The program works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.
