Using the application allows you to view the financial health of the family budget, and pinpoint areas of excessive expenditure with just a quick look on the summary view, which is automatically created. All the different tools are neatly placed in separate tabs accessible from the top. The Overview tab displays a summary of all your expenses and income according to month. It has Description, Date, Amount, Category, Family Member, Payee Project and Tags columns to easily view who received and spent what amount on which item. The left side displays the Overall balance, Loans and Total balance of your finances.
The Transactions tab lets you view income and expenses according to different accounts. You can maintain different budgets for different types of incomes.
The Budget tab in Personal Finances makes it easy to monitor progress in achieving the financial milestones that you have set for yourself. This allows you to control your expenses and spend less money than you earn.
The Reports view helps you in analyzing your financial situation. Pie/ bar charts and line graphs show you the income and expenditures according to all categories, payee, projects and expenses of each family member over a specified period of time. The visual illustration of your income and expensive allows you to manage your income in the most efficient way.
Other tools include the Currencies, Accounts, Scheduler, Calendar and Loans, which help you manage each and every aspect of your budget.
